Former member of the Federal House of Representatives, Wahab Issa, has denied report making the rounds that he favours the zoning of the All Progressives Congress, APC, ticket for the 2027 gubernatorial election to Kwara Central or North Senatorial Districts of the state.
The former lawmaker made this clarification in a statement obtained from his official Facebook account on Friday, stating that it is too early to discuss 2027 governorship election.
He furthered that such speculation might distort good governance in the state.
He reiterated his unwavering support for the state governor, Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq.
“I believe 2027 is still far off. I strongly believe that Allah bestows leadership upon whomever He wills. For now, I remain neutral and will abide by whatever decision the leadership of our party arrives at. The success of the current administration under the leadership of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, remains paramount to me,” he said.
Wahab Issa praised the governor for delivering the dividends of democracy to the populace and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant him continued success in office.
