Kwara Assembly confirms Adebara as substantive CJ

Kwara State House of Assembly on Wednesday ratified the appointment of Justice Abiodun Adebara as the substantive Chief Judge (CJ).

Tye House, presided over by the Speaker, Yakubu Salihu confirmed Justice Adebara on the floor of the House.

The newly confirmed CJ vowed to revolutionalise the state’s justice system,

He, therefore, gave assurance that the judiciary would forge a cordial relationship with the other two arms of the government for development.

Adebara appealed to the House to provide more funds to address major infrastructural problems facing the judiciary in the state.

Also confirmed by the House were: Abubakar Abdullahi Uthman, Oyedun Funke Juliana, Yusuf Abdulganiyu Aremu and Abdul Gana Lukpada as chairman and members of Fiscal Responsibility Commission.

Salihu directed the Clerk, Hajia Halimah Kperogi, to communicate the confirmation of the appointments to Governor AbdulRaman AbdulRazaq.
