Kwara state commissioner of Water Resources, Usman Yunusa Lade inspected the Asa, Sobi and Agba Dam Water Works in Ilorin, the state capital.
He embarked on the inspection visit in order to asses the level of challenges facing the Dams.
During the visit to Asa Dam Water Works, it was learnt that the on-going repair of the Dam was close to a completion.
Lade added that the contractor in charge of the project is currently repairing the lamina plates at the treatment plant.
He furthered that the Water Works will begin to operate in full capacity as soon as the repair of Lamina Plates is completed.
Lade stressed that the current administration is working round the clock to turn the Water Works around, saying that the necessary steps will be taken for the smooth running of the Dams.
Asonibare Omolola Christiana apprised the commissioner and the ministry’s permanent secretary of the challenges of human activities in Asa-Dam.
