Kwara deputy governor, Kayode Alabi loses mum

Kwara State Deputy Governor Kayode Alabi’s mother, Mama Ena Maud Alabi, is dead.

Mama Ena Maud Alabi, a Jamaican who switched her nationality after getting married to the governor’s late father, passed away on Friday morning at the age of 98.

She retired from the civil service as a senior matron at the Maternity Hospital in Amilegbe, Ilorin, in 1980.

Reacting to her demise, the state governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq described Mama Ena as an exemplary humanist who served the community with her talents.

Abdulrazaq said, “On behalf of the Abdulrazaqs, the government and people of Kwara State, the governor sends his heartfelt condolences to the deputy governor and his siblings on this huge loss of a faithful mother.”

AbdulRahman prayed to the Almighty to give the family to bear the loss and divine solace for Mama Ena’s soul.

The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari in a press release throught his media assistant, Abdulazeez Aworona, also expressed his grief over the exit of exemplary woman.
