In a move to palliate the ripple effects of the currency swap, the Kwara State Government has on Monday, February 13 commenced free ride for students and workers of higher institutions in Ilorin the state capital.
Special Assistant to the Governor on Students Affairs, Mubaarak Bello made this disclosure in a press release, Sunday February 12.
According to the release, the state government on Monday deploy free buses along specific routes used by students and staffs of tertiary institutions in the state.
The first round of the palliative would covers students commuting long distances within the Ilorin metropolis, specifically for students of University of Ilorin and Kwara State Polytechnic.
While the long bus will shuttle between Post Office and Kwara State Polytechnic, two long buses operate between Post Office and Tanke (Edinwo Supermarket)
Two different buses will shuttle between Tanke (Bus Terminal) and Unilorin Campus on Mondays to Friday from 6a.m. and 10am and again between 3pm and 6p.m.
However, students and civil servants are implored to conduct themselves in an orderly manner so as to emsure seamless exercise.
