Kwara govt increase bursary allowances by 100%

Kwara Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved the increment in bursary allowances for students of Kwara origin in Tertiary Institutions across the country from N5,000 to N10,000.

The State Commissioner for Tertiary Education Dr. Alabi Afees Abolore made this announcement that portal will open for registration on Friday 4th November and close at 12 midnight on November 11, 2022 through https://scholarship.kw.gov.ng/bursary.

The hundred percent increment in bursary allowance follows Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s approval of free transport services for students returning to their various universities outside the state following several months of strike by the Academic Staff of University Union, ASUU.

According to him, the kind gesture served as palliatives to all parents and guardians in the face of current economic realities.r

Mr. Abolore gave assurance that the current administration will do everything possible to ensure that Kwara indigenes enjoy the dividends of democracy.

The Commissioner expressed optimism that more opportunities await Tertiary Institutions Students, thereby imploring them to continue to represent state in good light at their various institutions of learning accross country.
