Kwara State Government has announced the receipt of 1200 bags of rice from the federal government.
Rafiu Ajakaye, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, made this revelation on Tuesday.
According to the release, the rice would be distributed to indigent Kwarans, with the local government authorities overseeing the distribution processes.
To ensure non-partisanship during the distribution, the state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, issued a directive that traditional institutions and other stakeholders be consulted to compile the list of prospective beneficiaries.
The governor therefore appreciated the President Tinubu-led federal government for putting the palliatives in place.
