Kwara State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu praised the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC for organising seamless Governorship and State House of Assembly Elections in the state.
Danladi who made this glowing remark at his polling unit, on Saturday, disclosed that, “the electoral umpire has had a great improvement in its conduct of the exercise”
“So far, the INEC has been performing wonderfully well when you compare this exercise with the Presidential and National Assembly Elections, today the electoral officers and materials arrived early at the various polling units, the BVAS worked smoothly and people’s turnout was on the high gear, it’s a great improvement on the part of the INEC, kudos to them”
The Speaker was optimistic that the state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and all the APC candidates would triumph at the poll, adding that that the ruling party’s stellar performance in the state was enough to earn the governor a second term.
“With the outstanding performance of the AbdulRazaq-led administration in the state especially in the areas of infrastructural development in the last four years, I’m very confident that the Governor is coasting to victory for a second term in office and all the APC candidates would also win because the party has also gotten it right politically.”
