The sensitisation was highly interactive, as it involved questions, answers, and subtle jokes, resulting in a standing ovation and applause for the Commander.
This enthusiastic reception underscores the importance of addressing drug-related issues in the community.
The lecture was part of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency’s efforts to address the menace of drug abuse at the grassroots level.
The antinarcotics agency plans to establish stations in all 774 local councils in order to achieve the goal of drug demand and supply reduction.
At the end of the lecture, CN Popoola paid a courtesy visit to the state commissioner on tertiary education, further emphasizing the agency’s will to collaborate with the ministry.
This strategic meeting aligns with NDLEA’s mission of curbing drug trafficking and abuse, particularly among youths.
