Governor AbdulRahman led-administration has warned Chief Executive Officers of all the state-owned high institutions to desist from the practice of illegal recruitments with specific reference to the Kwara State Polytechnic, Oke-Oyi.
The State Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Alabi Afees Abolore who issued the directive, described the warning as a measure to effectively strike a balance between the academic and non-academic staff proportional issues.

Speaking on due process, Abolore stated that any employment exercise must pass through diligent formalities with approval from the Ministry of Tertiary Education.
The commissioner, however, reversed all unauthorized recruitments and conversions ongoing in the state-owned institution and thereby pledged to take necessary punitive actions against management of the Polytechnic to serve as deterrence to other tertiary institutions.
He, therefore, encouraged strict adherence to the directive by all the tertiary institutions in the state.
