Member representing Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency in the House of Assembly and Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate for the constituency, Abdulganiyu Saka Cook-Olododo has dispelled claim that he has stepped down his ambition to seek re-election into the National Assembly come February 25.

Olododo made this clarification in a press release signed by the Director Media and Publicity of his Campaign Council, Ibrahim Sheriff on Friday.

The release clarified, “We note with dismay, an unfounded falsehood by elements of the opposition, out of fear of defeat, purporting our candidate withdraw from the race. We wish to state that Olododo is not only on the race, but set for landslide victory.

“We understand oppositions have seen the handwriting on the wall and are in tune with the resolve of the people of Ilorin East and South to re-elect Olododo, which is occasioned by their apprehension, as a result of fear of defeat. We however urge them to desist from misleading the public, as it won’t save their heads.

“We hereby implore the general public to disregard the rumor. Olododo remains in the race and poised for victory. and go out to cast their votes”, the statement said.
