Speaker of the Kwara State House Assembly Hon. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has won his re-election to represent Ilesha-Gwanara state constituency in the 10th Assembly after defeating Usman Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
Declaring the result at the collation center for the Ilesha/Gwanara constituency at the Gwanara LGEA primary school, the Returning Officer, Dr. Adewale Rafiu explained that Rt.
According to the official results declared by INEC, Hon. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu polled 14, 949 votes while his closest challenger, Usman Abubakar got 2,072 votes.
“Yakubu Danladi-Salihu of APC having satisfied the requirements of the law is hereby declared the winner and is returned elected”, Dr. Rafiu noted.
The young lawmaker has expressed his gratitude to his constituents for their support, promising to prioritize their welfare.
