The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the death of CSP Bolaji Olugbenga, the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, in charge of Ijanikin Police Station.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesman, announced the confirmation on Friday night but did not provide details regarding the circumstances of his death.
According to reports from the News Agency of Nigeria, CSP Olugbenga reportedly collapsed in his office and died before he could be taken to a hospital.
The news of his passing has left officers at the station in mourning. A source from the division stated that his body has been moved to a mortuary.
