A Suspected ritualist has killed a 7-year-old Togolese girl with pestle in Ogun.
The horrible occurrence took place around 7 a.m. on Thursday at Kilani Street, Iyana Iyesi area of Ota, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the state.
A suspected ritualist has executed a seven-year-old Togolese girl in Ota area of Ogun State.
The criminal was reported to have been at large.
According to an eyewitness, the girl was sent home on an errand by a neighbour close to her mother’s shop where deceased was seated. The unidentified killer, was said to have hidden around the house, then smashed her head with a pestle.
A source claimed that neighbours who trooped out after being prompted by the girl’s yelling for help found her in a pool of blood.
Mr Aina said the responders searched the house but could killer has disappeared. Then they informed the police who evacuated the body after their on the spot investigations.
“I know the girl very well, we used to call her Mama. The suspect killed her in cold blood. At first, we thought it was a thief, but further findings revealed that the guy is a ritualist,” Mr Aina stated.
Another resident, who refused to mention his name for security purposes, said his children had informed him prior to the incident that an unknown man tormented them on their way to school few days ago.
“It might then be correct to say the same person was at work. Security agencies must fasten their belts else, this evil person will wreak more havoc.”
All attempts to reach the police spokesperson in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi through phone calls or text messages were not successful.
