Portugal captain, Cristiano Ronaldo has been asked by the management of Manchester United to leave the club by mutual agreement, with immediate effect on Tuesday, November 22.
In a statement released by the Premier league club on Tuesday: “The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family well for the future.
“Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on continuing the team’s progress under Erik ten Hag and working together to deliver success on the pitch.”
The decision was announced few days after the superstar was interviewed by Piers Morgan where he was said directed insults at Manchester United’s owners, manager Erik ten Hag, and club legend Wayne Rooney.
The club thanked him for his immense service in his two seasons at the Manchester based football club.
