Petroleum marketers, on Thursday, November 24 have informed members of the public of possible price increment in petrol otherwise known as Power Motor Spirit (PMS).

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) on Thursday maintained that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited are reluctant to supply its members petroleum products, leaving them with alternative of getting supply from third parties at the rate of N205 per litre.

National Controller Operations, IPMAN, Mike Osatuyi, noted that members of the association have been purchasing the products for N205 and would be forced to add N13 transportation to the landing cost.

According to Mike Osatuyi, he said, “NNPC refuses to give us fuel. We buy from third parties and can sell at any price because if the landing cost to our stations is N218 per litre, how much do you expect us to sell? So the public should expect fuel at any price, depending on the area,”

All efforts to reach the spokesperson for NNPCL, Garba Deen Mohammed, were unsuccessful.
