He said, “Permit me to congratulate all the matriculating students and their parents for their success in the rigorous process of admission which eventually culminated into their admission into this great citadel of leaming. It is pertinent to state here that admission into KWASU should be seen as a rare privilege and a golden opportunity. “
“Let me also sound this note of warning that KWASU has zero tolerance for all acts of misconduct. The uníversity will swifly apply appropriate sanctions against any student found to engage in any act of mnisconduct in accordance with the laid down rules and regulations.
“I therefore admonish you to shun all acts of social vices such as improper dressing, cultism, examinatíon malpractices, violent demonstration, membership of unregistered associations on campus, theft, armed robbery, and other civil disturbances that may threaten the smooth running of academic actívities and calendar of the University,” the Ag. VC said.
He, however, appealed to the matriculating students to avidly read the Students’ Code of Conduct and all the existing Rules and Regulations of the university.
“By way of emphasis, I want to remind you that the Matriculation Oath that was administered to you today, implies that you have willingly agreed to subject yourselves to all the rules and regulations of the university. I therefore advise you to constantly abide by the oath, ” he added.
