Nigerian hip-hop star, David Adeleke professionally known as Davido has made a new revelation about his spending ability.
The United States born singer recounted how his father Dr. Adedeji Adeleke influence his musical profession.
The ASSURANCE crooner spoke about his father’s disciplined nature and his contribution to his calling, especially at the Forbes Under 30 summit in Botswana.
The young singer said his father did advise him against extravagance and lack of investment.
The famous business tycoon often educated his son on the importance of saving for the rainy days and reducing spending on unnecessary materials.
“It’s still business. Sometimes we get into a lot of arguments. You know, showbiz is different from a normal person’s life that is just doing business.
“Like for example, I might be in Italy and maybe he just sees a caption ‘Oh Davido buys this $300,000 watch’ He will be like ‘Why are you wasting money like that’? I will be like, Dad you won’t understand. We are using it to inspire people. But all in all, it is still business.
“He still calls me to make sure that I save here, invest there. For example, I wanted to rent a penthouse. He advised me, ‘You are wasting money by spending on that (rent). Buy it and use it when you are around. Little advice here and there.
“It took a while for him to my (sic) music. But now he has fully accepted it.”

An enthusiastic fan who held onto the singlet of the famous Nigerian music star, has made a comment that sparked series of reactions among internet users.
The die-hard fan of the Atlanta born singer insisted he would not wash the singlet.
It was gathered that the singer removed his singlet during the Timeless concert and threw at the supporters who were present at the show.
A fan who eventually got the singlet after serious struggle with other fans, during an interview after show, could not hide his joy.
He said he gave a tight fight to get the singlet despite the amid stiff competition with other supported aiming for it.
However, he said he would not wash the singlet as he wants the people around him to feel the singer’s aura.
