Shamsudeen Bala Mohammed, son of Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has made a stunning revelation about Abubakar Atiku’s 2027 presidential ambition.
Shamsudeen said that his father would not support former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar presidential aspirations in 2027.
In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, @shamsudeen_bala, he replied to a follower who maintained that Atiku and Governor Mohammed would work together to repair the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He further stated that Atiku worked against his father’s 2023 second tenure ambition by pitting tents with the opponents and mobilizing influential Bauchi figures against him.
“Honestly, it would be difficult,” he wrote.
“Because even if he wins, there’s nothing he would do for us except settle old scores. He didn’t support us in 2023—he backed the APC candidate and used Bauchi elites to oppose us. We barely survived it. He’s made it clear he doesn’t value us enough to engage in dialogue.”
His remarks are pointing to the brewing crises within the PDP ahead of the next electoral cycle.
