The provost of the Nigerian Army College of Education, NACOE, Sobi, Major General Umar Nasir Babangida paid a courtesy visit to the lawmaker, representing Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency at the Lower Chamber, Hon. Aluko Yinka Ahmed, PhD.
The m familiarization visit took place on Friday at the residence of the lawmaker at the GRA, in Ilorin, Kwara State capital.
The institution’s head, who was accompanied by Lt. Col. AO. Akindele, the Acting Registrar of the College, the Provost, said the visit was prompted by the need to forge a robust relationship aimed at enhancing the college development between the school management and the legislator, since the college host community falls within the Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency.
While underlining the institution’s core values, the Provost said that the relationship is central to achieving the college’s vision and mission.
He further stressed that the town and gown synergy is germane for the healthy operation of the military institution.
Aluko, in his reaction, appreciated the delegation for the august visit, thereby eulogising their farsightedness by initiating such a productive relationship for the betterment of the citadel.
Afterwards, he gave assurance that he would leverage his office to provide support for the development of the college.
NACOE is an accredited College of Education under the auspices of the Nigerian Army, Sobi Cantonment, Ilorin.
It is an NCE and degree awarding institution with qualified teaching staff and an uninterrupted academic calendar.
