The National Association of Nigerian Students, (NANS) on Wednesday, December 14 launched a leader to commemorate the occasion of the 60th birthday of former Nigerian Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki.
The National Senate Clerk of the student association, Comrade Sa’ad Olatunji Baki, made this disclosure during a press conference in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.
According to him, the summit titled: “Why Nigerian students should vote aggressively” is aimed at educating the Nigerian youth and students on the 2023 general elections.
The summit, is part of efforts by leadership of the association to rekindle the interest of the teeming Nigerian students to actively participate in the decision making and nation building process.”
“NANS has deemed it necessary to organize this summit in commemoration of the 60th birthday anniversary of a cosmopolitan and a leader per excellence, Distinguished Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki CON, President of 8th Senate, Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“Our decision to honour him is as a result of his enviable and unmatchable track records of outstanding achievements as former Governor of Kwara State and former Senate President of Nigeria. This, coupled with his passionate selfless service to Nation Building.”
“The planning committees as headed by Comrade Abdulazeez Ahmad El-Immam is going to release a registration link to various social media platforms to welcome participants within and outside Nigeria to benefit from this epoch event,” he said.
Present at the press conference, was the organising committee, Comrade Abdulazeez Ahmad El-Immam and other notable members of the apex students’ organisation.
The programme is scheduled to take place on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Mariam Event Hall in Ilorin, Kwara State.
