The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure, NASENI, is focused on becoming Nigeria’s top innovation and technology transfer agency, according to its Executive Vice Chairman and CEO, Mr. Khalil Halilu.
In a statement by NASENI’s Director of Information, Mr. Olusegun Ayeoyenikan, Halilu lined up his plans to boost the agency’s impact on Nigeria’s technological development.
Halilu said that in 2023, he pledged to bring NASENI products to the market.
“One year later, I have fulfilled that promise,” he said, noting that NASENI has launched 36 market-ready products, such as solar irrigation pumps, electric vehicles, and smart home systems.
He also noted that plans are ongoing to open a showroom, where people can acquire NASENI products directly.
Halilu highlighted the importance of collaboration, citing partnerships with key stakeholders and manufacturers that have played crucial roles in the development and commercialization of NASENI’s products.
He stated his goal of strengthening NASENI to contribute to Nigeria’s socio-economic growth and support the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
