Kwara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Umar J.G. Mohammed has said the Corps would continue to collaborate with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in the fight against drug proliferation and substance abuse in the state.
Commandant Umar gave the reassurance on Monday, 9th September 2024, while receiving the newly appointed Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Kwara State Command, Hajia Fatima Abiola Popoola, at the NSCDC State Command Headquarters in Ilorin.
He stressed the importance of collaboration among security outfits, emphasizing that effective collaboration is the best mechanism to tackle crimes and social vices.
In her response, Hajiya Fatima Abiola-Popoola appreciated the Commandant for the unwavering support and synergy between the two agencies over the years.
She maintained that cooperation among security agencies is pivotal to achieving excellent results and ensuring smooth execution of their operations.
The commander, thereby charged the corps to support NDLEA in waging war against illicit drug trafficking and substance abuse.
