The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has said Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo needs to show commitment to represent the Super Eagles before he can feature for the country.
Former Siper Eagles manager Jose Peseiro had approached the centre back over the possibility of representing the Nigeria in the past, but he rejected the offer.
Adarabioyo also ignored an attempt by the NFF to play for the three-time African last year.
According to reports, the 27-year-old has shown readiness to feature for the country of his brith.
The NFF demanded that the defender formalise his nationality switch before he would be considered.
“Jose Peseiro travelled to meet with him in the UK last year to speak to him about playing for Nigeria, but he told the coach at that time that he was not ready,” an NFF source told ESPN.
“If he wants to make the switch now, he knows what to do.”
