Military Chiefs from some West African nations are currently holding a meeting in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
The meeting, which comprises high-profile delegations from different ECOWAS countries is being chaired by the chairman of ECOWAS military chief, Gen. Christopher Musa.
The meeting came after the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, threatened to take military actions against Niger following dislogdement of former president Mohammed Bazoum from office about 7 days ago.
The chiefs who have so far arrived in the country include those of Togo, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Senegal, Liberia, Guinea, Gambia, Cote’Divoire, Cabo Verde and the Republic of Benin.
