Nigeria Immigration elevates 7000 officers

The Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, has announced the elevation of about 7000 officers.

The service made this known in a letter signed by the Secretary of the Immigration, Civil Defense, Correctional and Fire Service Board, Alhaji Jafaru Ahmed.

The letter revealed that the personnel the promoted to their next ranks across the board

The promotion affected senior officers who took for the regular exams and the junior staff who were elevation as a result of additional academic qualifications.

The NIS also announced the redeployment of 12 Comptrollers to some states, including FCT, Kano, Jigawa, Ondo, Ogun, Mfum Border Control, among others.

She appointed Tony Akuneme as the FCT Command’s Comptroller, while Comptroller Joseph Dada became the new Principal Staff Officer to the Comptroller General.

Adepoju vowed that welfare of personnel would be of utmost priority and promotion would henceforth follow due processes.
