Ahead of the forthcoming 2023 general elections, the All Progressives Congress (APC), candidate for the Ilorin East-South Federal Constituency seat, Hon. Ahmed Yinka Aluko has pledged to serve his constituents with utmost diligence and commitment, if elected to represent them at the 10th National Assembly.
Aluko made this promise during a live programme on Harmony FM, Sunday, January 8.
Reacting to question on why he settled for the House of Representatives ticket, having previously contested for the seats of Senate and Deputy Governor, he clarified that he doesn’t matter if he settled for a lower elective position.
He, therefore, stated that what is sacrosanct is the commitment and dedication to serve people of constituency as he had done in the past.
Aluko boasted that he used his office as Special Assistant on intergovernmental Affairs to facilitate the Ganmo sub power-station and the first Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Maga Station in Kwara State.
He also maintained he personally lobbied a lot of job opportunities for youth in the state.
While stressing that every government from 1999 has contributed immensely to the development of the state, Aluko described Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as a simple and humble administrator who is leading an exemplary life.
Again, Aluko assurance that he would not renege on his campaign promises as he is reputed for walking the talk.
In his final word, Aluko implored the Kwara electorate to go and collect their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) in order to elect the candidates of their choice.
