NSCDC boss, Audi warns personnel against accidental discharge

Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, , Dr. Ahmed Audi, has stated that personnel of the corps must learn the art of arm handling, noting it would not tolerate accidental discharge of riffle.

Audi issued the warning at the Passing Out Parade of course 10 Basic Arms and Weapon Handling Training in Abuja.

“Our Service does not welcome any accidental discharge and any trigger happy officer that kills a civilian will face the law and will be court marshal.

The NSCDC boss added the officers must observe rule of engagement in their service to the country, warning that they are not trained to kill.

He disclosed that it is the duty of operatives to protect govenment’s properties.

The CG thereby implored the officers not to renege on their avowed duties.

Audi said “There must be no compromise, you must all dedicate yourselves to eradicate oil theft therefore, we must arrest and eradicate oil thieves who are good at vandalising our oil pipelines.

He continued that the current administration is intent on bringing oil thefts to an end.

The training exercise which lasted for two months is part of the corps’s effort to equip officers on the rudiments of arms handling.
