It was a day filled with ecstasy for Nigerian-born Ethan Nwaneri as he netted his first goal in the English Premier League.

The 17-year-old playmaker who came on for Arsenal skipper Martin Odegaard reinforced the home team’s lead in the 86th-minute through a pass from Raheem Sterling, making the scoreline 3-0.

Early on, England winger Bukayo Saka fired Arsenal into early lead with a stunner after being assisted by Odegaard just fifteen minutes into the game before Thomas Partey’s powerful strike from 25 yards doubled the lead after coming on from the bench to stamp his authority in the midfield.

This is the first match the North-London outfit have not conceded in their last 7 games in the EPL since September.

The victory had spoilt the show for Nottingham Forest whoncame into the game unbeaten in five away trips.

At 17 years and 247 days, Ethan Nwaneri is Arsenal’s youngest-ever Premier League goalscorer, behind only Cesc Fabregas against Blackburn in August 2004 (17y 113d).

Arsenal is currently 4th on the EPL log with 22 points, behind London arch-rival, Chelsea with a goal difference.
