Operatives of Ondo Police Command have arrested three secondary school students for raping a 14-year- girl.
According to the spokesman for Ondo Police Command, Fumilayo Odunlami, the suspects were later identified as Idris Matthew 17; Olawale Tobi 18 years and Ajayi Micheal 17.
Odunlami said the suspects were being detained for alleged conspiracy and defilement of a minor.
She said the suspects, who are students of Akure High School, deceived the victimi nto the bush behind the school gate and gang-raped her.
The rape was reported to have taken place last Thursday, November 24 within the school environment.
Witnesses said the victim was gang raped by the suspects when she went to defecate inside a bush within the school during the break period.
She was said to have been ambushed by the three boys who took turns to have anal knowledge of her.
It was the bloodstained on the the girl’s uniform when she returned to the classroom that exposed the heinous act by the teenagers.
Another source said one of the suspects demanded sex from the victim but she turned him down.
One of the suspects was said to have summoned his two friends to join him in raping her in an isolated place.
Police sources said the suspects have been arrested and detained at Juvenile Children Correctional Centre.
