President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday, July 5 was involved in a closed door meeting with the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Pius Anyim and ex-National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olisa Metuh, at the Presidential Villa.
It was gathered that the two politicians were at the presidential Villa on Wednesday afternoon to hold a private discussion with the president inside his office.
Anyim contested for PDP presidential ticket in May 2022.
On his part, Metuh had resigned his membership of the opposition party in October 2022.
As of the press time, details of the meeting remained a secret.
This is not the first members of the opposition parties would visit the president at the Aso Villa.
There are speculations that the Tinubu is planning to include members from opposing parties in the ministerial list to be submitted to the Senate for screening.
Tinubu had in the past received members of the major opposition party and the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, including its flag bearer in the last election, Rabiu Kwankwaso.
