President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has hailed the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal judgement, upholding his victory in the last general elections.
The court on Wednesday, 6 September, 2023, quashed litigations by presidential candidates of Labour Party, People’s Democratic Party, Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, challenging Tinubu’s victory in the 25th February Presidential election on various grounds.
Tinubu made this revelation while addressing his loyalists in far-away India on Thursday.
He said, “It was a very strong and emotional journey for all of us struggling for democratic truth and justice. Today, we give kudos to the judiciary for their indivisible commitment to the rule of law and to humanity.
“Thank God Almighty for guiding us this far and protecting us.
He, therefore, thanked his followers for their unalloyed support and adulation.
“The dream for Nigeria is for us to pull the country up and be proud of the country. One out of four black races is a Nigerian, well-educated dynamic, collaborative forward-looking and hardworking.
He further charged Nigerians to continue to hope for greatness, saying the country has no reason to be poor.
On the final note, the President said he was committed to doing more for the nation.
