Normalcy has returned to Ilorin, the Kwara State capital as most fillings stations have been have receiving supply of petroleum products directly from Lagos.
It would be recalled that fuel supply to Ilorin metropolis was stopped by the chapter of Petrol Tanker Drivers Union, PTD over the leadership disagreement that broker out within Oke-Ogun in Oyo State.
It was gathered that it is as a result of the crisis in Oke-Ogun fuel fuel distribution to the areas was suspended until resolution is reached, a member of the association was reported to have flouted the rule and diverted the fuel supply earmarked for Ilorin to Oke-Ogun, causing stoppage of fuel supply to Ilorin by the Lagos State chapter of the association.
However, several petroleum tankers were seen on Monday delivering fuel to various filling stations in the state capital.
EVENTNG learnt that both Major marketers and Independent marketers received fuel consignment, and yet the independent marketers sell at increased prices between N220 and N230 per litre instead of N190 which was induced by the Oke-Ogun crisis.
A major makerter in one of the Total Energy filling stations in Ilorin, on Tuesday confirmed the development.
He said “we have received supply on Monday and we are selling at N179.
“I believe other major marketers will sell at the normal price,” he added.
