The newly appointed National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu has detailed the crux of the meeting he alongside other security Chiefs had with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The president met with the Service Chiefs on Monday for the first time since their appointment in June.
Ribadu at the end of the meeting, briefed Villa corresponts, noting that they had come to show appreciation to the president for giving them the privilege to serve the country.
He furthered that Tinubu is a round peg in a round hole and he holds a clear vision for the country.
Speaking on behalf of other Security Chiefs, the former EFCC boss said they would work round the clock to overcome security challenges facing the nation.
He said: “President Tinubu has assured us of his unwavering support. He emphasised the need for teamwork and stressed that there is much work to be done. We are grateful for this opportunity, and that’s why we are here,” Ribadu added.
He stated, “We can already see that things are improving in our country. Crime rates and the activities of criminals are on the decline, and this trend will continue. We will secure our nation. Nigerians have witnessed the calibre of individuals given this opportunity, and they are undoubtedly some of the best we have. They will not fail you; they will undoubtedly deliver.”
