Former senate president, Bukola Saraki alongside his children, Seni Saraki and Tosin Saraki was at the Wimbledon to watch the quarterfinal match between Novak Djokovic and Hubert Hukarcz.
Djokovic in his bid to win his eighth Wimbledon title, defeated his Polish opponent on Monday, July 10.
The erstwhile Kwara State Governor took to his official Twitter handle on Tuesday to share his experience at the Tennis Championship in Southwest London.
He stated “Having a great time at Wimbledon with my children, where we have had the incredible opportunity to watch Djokovic, the defending champion, Ms Jabeur, the Tunisian female player who was in the finals last year, and Alcatraz, the No 1 seed and exciting young talent, all play on Centre Court.
“This experience brought back fond memories of my late father, who, along with late Chief Okoya Thomas, took me to Wimbledon for the very first time where I watched Arthur Ashe’s exceptional skills on Centre Court.
It’s been both humbling and exhilarating to pass on this experience to my children, just as my father did with me,” Saraki concluded.
Saraki is not only a sports lover, but also a proud fan of Arsenal Football Club in the English Premier League.
