Captain Ahmad Yusuf Gobir, the Sarkin Gobir and Chairman of Kwara Aviation College, is dead.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq made the announcement in a release by his spokesman, Rafiu Ajakaye, in Ilorin on Saturday.
The governor said development is a personal bereavement.
“We are sad to announce the death of the Ilorin Aviation College Chairman and Sarkin Gobir of Ilorin Emirate Captain Muhammad Ahmad Yusuf-Gobir.
“We submit to the dictate of Allaah, who gives, nurtures, and takes life, and send our profound condolences to the people of Ilorin Emirate and especially the family of the revered title holder on this devastating development.”
The governor commended Gobir’s fine legacies as an illustrious technocrat and administrator who supervised an impressive turnaround of the aviation college within a very short time.
He beseeched Allah to grant him paradise and uphold his family upon goodness.
Sarkin Gobir died in Kano State following a brief illness.
