Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator and socio-political activist has cautioned Nigerians against accepting N8,000 palliative from President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Sani charged the Nigerian populace to pray before collecting the N8,000 from Tinubu’s administration.
He noted that those that received the “jazzed” N10,000 during era of immediate past President Muhammadu Buhari eventually experienced untold hardship.
Tweeting, Sani wrote: “People who collected Buhari’s ‘jazzed’ 10k ended up in deeper poverty. Pray before you collect the next 8k.”
The current administration had said it would introduce conditional cash transfer in which N8,000 will be given to 12 million indigent Nigerians as palliative.
It continued that the money would be transferred to poor Nigerians for about six months.
Tinubu revealed this in a letter to the House of Representatives over the $800 million loan request of Buhari’s administration for the social safety net programme.
He therefore directed the House of Representatives to secure the loan.
