Popular Lagos based Islamic scholar and rector of Markaz Agege, Sheikh Muhammad Habeebullah Adam Al-ilory has extended his condolences to the family of late Grand Imam of Oyo, Sheikh Mas’ud Abd’Ganiy.
The ex-student of Markaz died on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.
The much revered Islamic cleric fondly referred to as ‘Mudir Markaz’ expressed his sympathy on his personal Twitter page, Sunday, January 30, 2023.
Sheikh described the death of Sheikh Abd’Ganiy as a colossal loss to the entire Markaz family.
He said, “My sincere and heartfelt condolences to the Muslim Ummah, Kingdom Of Oyo, Markaz and most importantly, the beloved family of sheikh (Dr.) Mas’ud Abd’Ganiy, the grand chief imam of oyo on his demise on Wednesday 25th Jan. 2023. This is indeed a great loss to Islam. He’ll be missed.
“Up until his demise, sheikh was a great and proud student of sheikh Adam, who he revered, loved and protected his legacies everywhere he went. He gave his all in the propagation of Islam and works of sheikh Adam around the world. I pray Allah accept him and give us the fortitude to bear the loss. I also pray that Allah protects all that he left behind and forgive him his shortcomings. Amin.”
