President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday evening met with ex-governors Nyesom Wike and Nasir El-Rufai at the State House Presidential Villa, Abuja, Daily Trust reports.
According to the paper, Wike arrived at the State House around 1:40 pm, while El-Rufai stormed the presidential wing of Aso Rock about 20 minutes after.
While Wike was screened and confirmed by the Senate, El-Rufai has not been confirmed over an alleged pending security report.
There were a series of insinuations that the meeting was connected to plans to ensure that the Senate confirms Malam El-Rufai.
