Tinubu visits IBB in Niger 

reiterates commitment to end farmers-herders crisis

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Monday, March 11, 2024, in the company of Niger state, Umaru Bago visited former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, IBB.

Tinubu met with Babangida at his Hilltop palatial home in Minna, the Niger State capital.

Tinubu had in the wee hours inaugurated agricultural machineries, a pet project of completed by Governor Umaru Bago.

While commissioning the project, Tinubu said he was committed to ending the farmers-herders confrontation in the state.

While admonishing governors to provide lands, the president said his administration would design a programme that would bring about a lasting solution to farmers-herders crisis in two to three weeks.

“When we reorient the herders and make provisions for cattle rearing, governors must provide the land and I, as the president, is committed to giving you in two to three weeks time a comprehensive programme that will solve this problem,” Tinubu said.
