Trump supporters celebrate in Florida as key wins boost white house bid

Jubliant supporters of Donald Trump gathered in Florida on election night, anticipating a speech from the former president after he clinched key victories in his pursuit of the White House.

Attendees at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, including men in formal attire and women in elegant dresses, mingled and posed for photos, with one particularly enthusiastic supporter donning a leather vest emblazoned with Trump’s name.

Many in the crowd, whether formally dressed or casual, wore the recognizable red “Make America Great Again” caps.

“I feel like Trump has won this election. This is over, and I feel like the world’s about to be much greater,” said Moses Abraham, 22.

By Wednesday, Trump appeared to be inching closer to a potential win against Kamala Harris, leaving the Democratic candidate with a narrow margin to overcome.

While some in Palm Beach expressed jitters about the final outcome, given the close polling between Trump and Harris, others remained optimistic.

Rocco Talarico, 68, sporting a “MAGA” cap and a leather vest marked with “Born to Ride” and “Donald Trump,” voiced his confidence.

“We need Trump back because our borders are weak, crime is high, the stock market is struggling, and the prices for gas and food are up. Kamala didn’t accomplish anything in four years,” he said.

Mike McCormack, 50, was more pointed in his criticism of Harris as he waited for Trump to take the stage on what he described as one of the most significant election nights in recent U.S. history.

“I don’t think Trump can be influenced by outside forces, but I believe Harris is controlled and manipulated. I have no faith in her,” he told AFP.

He also questioned the reliability of the polls, a recurring topic in Trump’s rhetoric, hinting at a conspiracy to keep him from the presidency.

“I have some confidence in this election, but not a lot. Some suspicious things have happened, and there have been cases of voter fraud. So, I’m not sure,” McCormack said.
