Two abducted as gunmen attack church in Ogun

Some terrorists have unleashed mayhem on a Celestial Church of Christ in Mowe, Obafemi/Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State on Thursday.

The gunmen were reported to have taken away two worshippers in the course to dastardly act.

The police public relations officer of the state command, Omolola Odutola, while confirming the incident, said the abductees are Oladapo Seyifunmi and Oluboboye Abiola.

Odutola stated that the miscreants escaped through a thick forest behind the church after the act.

“On March 28, 2024, unidentified gunmen invaded a Celestial church around Oriyarin village, Mowe, and abducted one Oladapo Seyifunmi and one Oluboboye Abiola, and escaped through the thick forest behind the church,” she said.

Odutola further revealed that the Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu, has sanctioned the tracking of the abductors in order to rescue the victims with immediate effect.
