A 300 level student of the department of Accounting, University of Ilorin, Tomisin on Thursday, February 2 received the greatest surprise of her life as her finance proposed to her during lecture hours.
Tomisin’s course mate who didn’t want her name to be revealed confirmed to this medium, “What really happened was that, when I got to school this morning, I think the class representative, Ayomide has already informed the lecturer, Mr. Bamigbade about the whole plan and they have discussed how they would go about it, but about fifteen minutes before the lecture ended, the lecturer said he would be calling people out to come and explain what he has taught them in the class. This is something he has never done in the class, since he has been taking us from 100 level. So, from that moment, I suspected that something was going on. I noticed that the class representative was going in and out frequently. But the last time she went out, she came in with some love-shaped placards. I don’t know what was written on them though when she passed by me because I was sitting at the front. I could not imagine what they were up to. About 10:05a.m because our lecture was supposed to come to an end exactly 10:00am, the lecturer then called the lady out and gave her a question to solve. He was trying to distract the lady to look at him while the surprise came in brought behind.
“Suddenly, a musical band came in, blowing their trumpets. Tomisin’s fiance too, then came in with flowers and balloons with her friends holding different placards with the words”Will you marry me? ” inscribed on them. As a result, there was an uncontrollable eruption of emotions in the classroom,” she told EVENTNG.
