The Interim Management Committee, IMC, has slammed Wikki Tourists Football Club of Bauchi with varying penalties.
The IMC on Tuesday found Wikki Tourists guilty of violent conduct over its inability to provide adequate security and control its irate fans who eventually attacked match officials and disrupting of play during a match against Bayelsa Football Club on April 9.
The regulatory body, consequently, fined the Bauchi based Club a total of ₦2.5m.
Wikki Tourists was fined ₦1m over its inability to ensure adequate security for the game, leading to assault on match officials
It would also pay ₦500,000 in fine for failing to ensure maximum security and inability to control it’s fans targeting Match Officials and disrupting play.
Wikki was mandated to pay compensatory fine of ₦250,000 to each of the four assaulted match officials.
Part of the sanction, includes three points and three goals deduction from the Club’s accrued points and goals and closure of their home stadium to fans for the rest of the season.
The erring Club is expected to accept the ruling within 48 hours or face further disciplinary actions.
