Dangote Group Chairman, Aliko Dangote, has urged petroleum marketers, including the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), to source petrol directly from his refinery to meet Nigeria’s fuel demand.

Following a private meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja, Dangote announced that the refinery is ready to supply fuel, with a capacity to produce over 30 million liters daily and a reserve of 500 million liters—enough to supply the country for over 12 days without imports.

“We’re more than ready,” he assured reporters, stating that the refinery could substantially meet Nigeria’s fuel needs.

Addressing fuel shortages, Dangote emphasized that it’s up to NNPC and marketers to collect fuel directly from the refinery, urging them to reduce imports and utilize local production.
