We’re not aware of Tinubu, Wike’s London meeting – Wike’s ally

An associate of the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike and ex-member of the House of Representatives, Ogbonna Nwuke has given an insight into what the five aggrieved Governors of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) would be deliberating upon in the United Kingdom.

EVENTNG recalled that the five disgruntled governors otherwise known as the integrity group travelled to the UK, Tuesday to exchange views on their choice presidential candidate in 2023.

Nwuke, in his reaction on Wednesday said the governors would be streamlining their choice to the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu and the flagbearer of the Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi during their meeting.

The former lawmaker, however, said the governors would limit their choice to Tinubu or Obi.

He said, “We are not aware of a meeting between them and Tinubu this time in London.

“But, I am aware that the meeting they are still holding in the United Kingdom has something to do with a decision of whether to support Tinubu or Obi. That one is correct but if Tinubu has flown into London, we are unaware of that.”

But, there are viral claims that the governors would favour the adoption of the former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi as the presidential candidate in the forthcoming election.
