Ahead of the forthcoming general elections, chairman of the All Progresives Congress (APC), Balogun Fulani ward II, Hon. Ahmad Olanrewaju, yesterday charged members of the ruling party to continue to be steadfast in their support for all APC candidates.
The Gbodofu born politician issued this admonition during a solidarity rally he organised to support all APC candidates in the state.
The peaceful rally was graced by scores of youth in the capital city of Ilorin.
According to him, the rally served as a way of expressing the constituency’s unflinching support for Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Mallam Saliu Mustapha, Hon. Ahmed Yinka Aluko, Hon. Maryam Aladi and other APC candidates who are contesting for various positions.
Ahmad said despite the general elections approaching, the governor continues to deliver on his electoral promises.
He furthered that, “APC has immensely contributed to the development of our dearest state, Kwara. We’re solidly behind governor’s re-election. Having a performing governor like Mallam AbdulRahman is one of the good things that have ever happened to Kwara state.
In attendance at the rally were: Hon. Maryam Aladi, Ilorin South Kwara State House of Assembly candidate, Ilorin South TIC chairman, Hon. Sulu-gambari Aiki.
The rally which covered Opo-malu, Center Igboro, and Sabo-line saw APC supporters in Ilorin South troop out en masse in a show of loyalty to the AbdulRahman led-administration.
