Wizkid apologises to fans over absence at Ghana concert

Nigerian Afrobeat star, Ayodeji Balogun, professionally known as Wizkid, has apologised to his Ghanaian fans for failing to make it to a concert where he was supposed to thrill his fans to good music.

The concert was slated to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, December 10, 2022.

Wizkid’s inability to perform triggered strong adverse reactions from his enthusiasts.

However, the superstar on Sunday, December 11 through his Twitter account begged his fans over his non-appearance, thereby citing production and safety challenges as reasons for the disappointment.

Part of his statement reads, “My brand is something I don’t joke with! I sincerely apologise to everyone who made the effort to come out for me last night. I was Charged up, looking forward to doing this show.

“However, please understand that every decision I made co-sided with honouring my fans, and would only make a drastic decision like this because it was the right thing to do.”

Wizkid, therefore stated that a new date and details for the concert would be made public soon.
