Super Falcons captain, Onome Ebi expressed confidence that the team would defeat Republic of Ireland on Monday.
Ebi noted that the team’s thrilling victory against co-hosts, Australia on Thursday was a huge spirit booster.
Super Falcons mow top spot of group and only need a point against the Girls in Green to seal a place in the Round of 16.
As it stands currently, The Girls in Green have already bowed out of the competition after consecutive defeats to Australia and Canada
“We are very positive and looking forward to the match. The mood in camp is great and everyone is in high spirits,” Ebi told thenff.com.
“The win against Australia has given us the belief and the confidence to face any team. We will play for a win.”
The game will commence at 11 am Nigeria time at the Brisbane Stadium.
