Director General for the Peoples Democratic Party Kwara Governorship Campaign Council in Kwara, Prof Ali Ahmad has felicitated former PDP chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje, CON on his 72nd birthday.
In a statement on Friday, the former lawmaker hailed the Tafida of Ilorin Emirate as a man with enigmatic characteristics, further describing him as an ‘egalitarian politician, astute administrator’ and an elder statesman of high esteem.
He, however, noted that Baraje’s role in the evolution of the PDP at the national, the Ilorin Emirate, and Kwara State is unprecedented.
“On behalf of my family, I congratulate our distinguished elder statesman Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje, CON on the occasion of his 72nd birthday anniversary.
“Alhaji Baraje is no doubt an egalitarian politician, astute administrator and an elder statesman of high repute whose immense contribution to the birth, growth, and development of the PDP at the national, the Ilorin Emirate, and Kwara State remains unmatched.
“As he celebrated yet another year, I wish him many happy returns of the day. May Allah S.W.T continue to strengthen him, and grants him longevity of life in sound health.”
